Oops, we accidentally raised a dog!! When Cole came into our care as an orphaned neonate at merely a few weeks old we had to keep him separate to quarantine him before adding him to a litter.
We don’t like kittens being alone (from other furbabies) at this age due to the impact on their development and no matter how much human attention they get they always do better with a furry pet to parent them. We got him an electronic interactive dog (a FurReal dog) to stay with him 24/7, an artificial heartbeat and Indie the pupper took on the mothering and playmate role.
After following Indie around for a couple of weeks, we gave him his new kitten friends – Espresso and the Tea litter. He’s socialised nicely with them, but made it clear he prefers his alone time and lights up whenever he sees a dog.
He worked through some severe impaction issues (constipation), perhaps thanks to him wanting to grow up too quickly and refuse formula. He will need to remain on premium quality food to give him the best nutrients for his development and wellbeing.
Nothing really phases Cole, he is very laid back and such a cool kiddo. He likes to cuddle when he decides he wants to, and likes his play time but not all that often. Most of all he likes to just hang out with his dog and the humans.
He would best suit a relaxed home with a friendly dog if possible but isn’t all that phased about other feline friends. He isn’t all that fond of young kids and doesn’t like it when the household gets busy, he likes his relaxing space lounging around in the sunshine. He’s basically a zen cat!
Now it’s time for our favourite little Cole to find his perfect forever home Like all of our adoptables he’s desexed, vaccinated (first), microchipped and parasite controlled.
