Meet Cash, he runs his foster home and has just got up from his well earned nap He’s around five years old and desperately needs his forever home
His name comes from Johnny Cash, as in The Man in Black , named and sponsored by Lyn and Ray Turner.
Cash LOVES LOVES LOVES cuddles, pats, heading bumping you, and just being with his people. We say “people” because he seems to love everyone!
His love doesn’t stop there though, he likes to talk to the resident pets from the distance in the cutest little voice like he’s doing here, as if to say “hi, come cuddle”. He seems completely relaxed about the dogs and cat friends being in nearby proximity so he likely wouldn’t mind being around other furbabies.
Cash found himself in the pound, cold and alone, two things this gorgeous little void hates! He relaxed during the day and sleeps while his foster parents are at work, but when they’re done with work he lets them know he’s available for cuddles and helping them with anything they need
He is very happy in his warm foster home, and surprisingly isn’t a pig with his food, nor wants to go outside – he’s quite well mannered and just wants to be a part of the family.
He isn’t afraid to help show you how to put your arms around him and cuddle and pat him – the most ridiculously cute thing to see is this boy smooch into and move his foster mums arms over him while he lifts his chin and then gives head bumps to say I love you with the loudest purrrr
Cash has a condition called FIV, which means over time his immune system may be weaker than some cats but we’ve had many cats over the years adopted to loving households and there’s no reason it’ll shorten his life as long as he’s looked after — as we expect for any of our adopters of any of our Adoptables.
FIV positive cats can live happily with other cats and pets, it’s only transmittable through deep fight wounds and cats can be vaccinated against it. It is only transmittable to other cats, not dogs or humans etc. It just means he can’t be an outdoor cat, but we don’t allow this for any of our Adoptables anyway as we’d rather them not get run over, and he much prefer the warm household with heating and cuddles.
All of our Adoptables come desexed, vaccinated (first), microchipped and parasite controlled.
Yes likely
Yes likely
Yes – he’s very gentle
He’d probably prefer a quieter household but he doesn’t mind as long as he’s included as part of the family
Note: he’s come into care with some fight wounds on his back and back paw that are healing but we strongly suspect they were when trying to get away from another cat as he isn’t a fighter!
He also has patches of fur missing from his recent desexing seen in the video – stands out when he’s so stunningly black
Note 2: Cash would like everyone to know despite having full access to this fake leather chair and other nice furniture, he hasn’t put a single claw into any of it
